Pretoria, Jun 6 (Prensa Latina) South African Anglican priest Alan Michael Lapsley called today to redouble the international campaign to fight the blockade against Cuba, and push for the release of the Cubans being unjustly held in United States prisons.
Lapsley, also an activist for social justice and former anti-Apartheid fighter, spoke with Prensa Latina at the third annual International Solidarity Campaign «Five Days for the Cuban Five in Washington DC.»
In the process to seek the release of those Cuban patriots, this forum in the U.S. capital is vital to keeping worldwide attention focused on the terrible injustice committed against those men, the 65-year-old priest stressed.
This week, the South African priest visited one of the Cuban Five, Gerardo Hernandez Nordelo, on the occasion of his birthday, and described him as an extraordinary human being.
